Marketing Examples

This information (or something similar) may be used prior to distributing the survey to help “market” the project to your alumni population. This will encourage alumni to call/email and provide their email address, if you don’t currently have it on file. It should also create awareness and a positive “buzz” that the survey will be coming soon. Many of our clients will post this type of article on their alumni website, social media sites, and in any hard copy publications that will be going out prior to the distribution date that will give an advanced notice of the coming email with the survey.

The 2016 Alumni Survey

Over half of the respondents have switched sectors during their career. Many of our earlier classes from the 70s and 80s have seen more transitions between sectors than more recent classes. We hope to determine in future surveys whether this pattern continues as more recent classes progress in their careers.

Alumni Attitude: By the Numbers

Early last year, IUP conducted its first Alumni Attitude Study with help from Performance Enhancement Group, a Texas-based consultant. The electronic survey went to all alumni for whom the university has current e-mail addresses. According to Mary Morgan '91, director of Alumni and Constituent Relations, the survey shows how well the university currently meets alumni needs.

Alumni Attitude Study

Last year the University of Toronto conducted its second Alumni Attitude Study, receiving feedback from more than 19,000 alumni around the world. The results show that alumni are engaged with and satisfied with their alma mater at higher rates than those at peer institutions-other large, public universities-across North America.

Alumni Attitude Study Results

In 2019, Lafayette engaged its alumni in the Alumni Attitude Study (AAS) process. This is the second AAS project completed by the College. The previous project was completed in 2013. Results are compiled from a total of 1,856 respondents out of the 19,743 alumni presumed to have received the survey via email.
