This information (or something similar) may be used prior to distributing the survey to help “market” the project to your alumni population. This will encourage alumni to call/email and provide their email address, if you don’t currently have it on file. It should also create awareness and a positive “buzz” that the survey will be coming soon. Many of our clients will post this type of article on their alumni website, social media sites, and in any hard copy publications that will be going out prior to the distribution date that will give an advanced notice of the coming email with the survey.
This information (or something similar) may be included in the body of the email distributed to all alumni with valid email addresses. We encourage you to make it look and sound like traditional communications that come from your office.
